How good is acrylic as a material for name plates?

Do you need a power point for getting a led name plate for home?
A:Yes, LED name plates work on electric power supply and so power supply close to the name plate is required. Usually, we have a switch for bell close to the location of name plate and your electrician can easily take the required power supply from there and use it to illuminate the name plate. For a new house under construction or renovation, it is suggested to have a planned concealed electric point for the name plate, if you are planning for a LED name plate.
Is it possible to have a led name plate with battery inside?
Yes.Yes, it is possible to have battery inside the name plate and use LED without any external power supply.
But it is not recommended by us.
- The LED name plate is meant to be used on everyday bases, means we expect to switch on the light every night. The battery may last for 3-10 days based on the use. After that, the battery needs to be charged and reinstalled. It is practically impossible to remove, charge and replace the batteries every 10 days. Eventually, the name plate will be a non-light name plate when the battery is drained and not charged. This will not solve the purpose of making the name plate with light.

One would not have a socket outside the house and even if it is there, you would not wish to have a visible wire with the name plate. Your electrician would help you get the power supply from the nearby bell or light point.
For a new house under construction or renovation, it is suggested to have a planned counselled electric point for the name plate, if you are planning for a LED name plate.
What is the life of the lights used inside a home name plate?

Do wooden name plates use raw wood?
A: No, wooden name plates are not made from raw wood but are made with MDF. MDF is medium density fiberboard. MDF is an engineered material made from compressed hardwood and softwood fine particles and is a real wood alternative. Our name plate plates are made in MDF with wooden texture vinyl. The textured wooden vinyl gives the raw wood feel and finish. Raw wood is definitely very attractive but is also very costly as compared to MDF. MDF is not waterproof and so is not recommended for outdoor use. But MDF can withstand changes in humidity and heat better than solid wood. MDF with wooden vinyl is a good option for cost effective and designer look wooden look name plates.

Using Double side tapes is not suggested as those may loosen up due to dust or moisture on the wall and the name plate may fall off. Name plates are sturdy but cannot withstand falling from a height. Acrylic can shatter into pieces if fallen from a height. If you do not want to hang it on nails and want it to be permanently fixed with the wall, you can also use stainless steel studs. You can drill a hole in the name plate and the wall and fix them yourself or with the help of a carpenter.
For name plates with LED, it is not recommended to hang them on nail. These are relatively heavy and delicate name plates. It is advised to fix them using stainless steel clamps for studs as per your wish.
